I will Arise
Micah 7:8- Do not rejoice over me, my enemy;
When I fall, I will arise;
When I sit in darkness,
The LORD will be a light to me.
Glory to God!
- When you look at the Bible verses, the children of God may fall but they will not remain fallen, they will rise up. The reason why they will rise up is because inside them dwells the Holy Spirit. The same Spirit that rose Christ Jesus from the dead will rise you up.
- The difference between the devil and children of God is that the devil fell but he can never rise up ever again. God has destroyed his power. But the Children of God though, they fall, they will rise again.
- Lift up the Name of Jesus.
- “I will arise”. It is a perspective. It is an attitude. You will arise from your adversity. I will arise from this disease, from this debt. By the Grace of God, I will arise. • It's an attitude. A man of God said that its your attitude that brings 100% victory in your life.

- If you carry the attitude of a child of God, you can rise from any adversity. “Do not gloat over me, my enemy. Though I have fallen, I will arise.”
- On the days when you feel the enemy has almost defeated you, declare this aloud: Do not gloat over me, my enemy — I will rise.
- After a surgery, even when you are lying in pain, the nurse still asks you to get up and walk. First the nurse tells you, and then your pastor reminds you of the same truth. • No matter how difficult the circumstance, how deep the pain, how fallen or dejected you feel — get up and keep walking.
- Keep saying, I will arise. Christ in me gives me strength.
Your permanent place is not down but up.
- I will not lie down in discouragement, in sin, or in defeat. I will rise up in Jesus’ name, and by the grace of God, we will rise.
- In Judges 16, Samson’s hair was cut, it ended up being a costly haircut. He lost his hair, his consecration, and his power. His enemies tied him up, plucked out his eyes, mocked
him, and made him a spectacle before 3,000 people. But Samson cried out to the Lord: “The devil has not won. Lord, remember me. Lord, restore me.” And God heard him and his strength returned.
- This morning, God is restoring your strength. God is giving you victory again in Jesus’ name. Receive it in Jesus’ name. God is strengthening every area where the enemy has tried to defeat you.
- You will never be defeated if you pray. You will never be defeated if you trust in God’s promises. You will never be defeated if you call on the name of Jesus.
Devil, you will never win. Victory is mine!
- Now prophesy over your neighbour: “You will never be defeated. The devil will never win over you. Victory is yours.”
- Devil, don’t celebrate yet. Don’t party, don’t pop a champagne bottle, don’t post on social media mocking me — I am not defeated. I am victorious through Jesus. • This was the one word that strengthened me in my early spiritual walk, especially in my younger days when I kept falling very often. Even if a righteous person falls, we will rise again. God is for us. The Church is for us. The angels of God fight for us. The Word of God is for us. And the blood and name of Jesus are for us. Jesus’ strength has not diminished.
- And remember - never sit with someone who celebrates or enjoys defeat. Some people sit in their defeat and try to pull two more people down with them!
- But be like Micah, who said, “Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.”
Look at 1 Chronicles 11:22: “Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many mighty deeds — he struck down two lion-like men of Moab. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.”
- It was snowy. It was cold. His body must have been tired and frozen. Yet no matter how exhausted he was, even when the enemy encircled him like a lion, the Lord gave him victory.
- No matter how tired or weak you feel today, you will still say, “I will arise. Do not gloat over me, my enemy.”
- Your hair will grow back. You will arise again. The Lord will build His church. I will arise. This should be your attitude.
- The Lord told the paralysed man who had been lying down for 38 years, “Get up and walk.” Do not sit in your defeat, your tiredness, your weakness, your sickness, or your failure. Let “I will arise” be your attitude.
