Beautiful You

Sunday Sermon by Pastor Rajesh Mathew, 6 April 2025

Mathew 6:25- 29- 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one [a]cubit to his [b]stature? 28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [c]arrayed like one of these.

  • Three months are over and this is the first Sunday of the fourth month. Thank God for His grace. Today is the 4th day of the 4th Monday. The Lord brought Lazarus out of the grave from his decaying situation on the 4th day.

I am coming out for the glory for God.

The Lord told me that He has given me a very beautiful congregation. God will give you a very beautiful life!

  • What comes to your mind when you hear the word Beauty? Anybody who has long legs or men with a 6-pack body? Is that beauty?

WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR A VERY BEAUTIFUL LIFE

  1. Do not worry about tomorrow.
  • Some people are worried that they do not worry! Jesus said look at the grass of the field, look at the lillies in the field. God has arrayed them so beautifully in all their colours with lovely fragrance. You are more important than those, aren’t you? Why should you worry? • I won’t be worried about my tomorrow because I have a Father in heaven.

Worry is a time waster. There is no use of worry. The spiritual antibiotic for worry is FAITH.

  • There is nothing more useless in this world than worry. Worry will remove the beauty of our life.
  • Beauty means to be adorned or to be decorated. Beauty means embellish/ embroidery.

God wants to adorn you, HE wants to decorate and He wants to mix together something very beautiful into your life this financial year. This is a prophetic word for this new year. He wants to embroider you with his beauty.

  • There is a value addition called beautiful. Something very pleasant. Most of us have a difficulty in identifying beauty.
  • Is the lizard, rat and snake beautiful? Yes, they are! God did not create anything ugly. Everything is beautiful in their own way!
  • The sale of Cosmetics will drop by 90% if women knew how beautiful they were created by God. You are beautiful because God has made you beautiful!
  • Men’s health will get consistently better if wives would tell their husbands that they are great looking irrespective of whether they have a V shape or not.
  1. Everything beautiful in ITS TIME

Ecclesiastes 3:11- He has made everything beautiful in its time

  • There is a long list of things that Solomon writes in the Book of Ecclesiastes- ‘Time to be born, Time to die’- both are beautiful in the Presence of God. Death is only a transition into the glory of God. Death is opening to a better life.
  • A young 8-year-old girl was taken to heaven by God. She tells her father who is a pastor that in heaven she saw everything beautiful and when she walked over a flower, that flower sprang up back to life and smiled at her.
  • God has created all things beautiful in its time - A baby in a mother’s womb comes out beautiful only when its time for it to come out. Before its time, it is not beautiful!

The process makes things beautiful and if you cut the process down, the beauty is lost.

  • That’s why the seedless fruits are not the best because we are not sure of the process that is adopted to make them seedless. We don’t know how it is formed. Even fast food of that matter is a problem, because they don’t follow the process and the time that is needed for food to be prepared.
  • There is a timing for everything to become beautiful - Even in business, don’t rush to be rich. You need to go through that process.

The Holy Spirit said- don’t rush into anything. There is a process. Everything becomes beautiful when you walk with Jesus IN its time.

  • Most of us are leading hurried lives. Don’t be in a rush even if your name is Rashmi!

Beauty means even if a man loses his six pack, even if a woman feels out of shape after the birth of a baby, mature love still finds something beautiful in each other.

  • Kurien uncle and Cicily aunty were a beautiful couple, even when they were old. You may not use words like cute or sexy. Your definition of beauty changes as you grow mature. • Lord, I thank you for making me beautiful. No matter what season of your life it is, autumn of winter, enjoy that season. Because He makes all things beautiful in its time. • How many of you have children who are above 20 years of age? Now, you miss those years when the children ran after you calling you every few minutes. But back then, we were longing for them to grow up and become independent. We did not enjoy them at that age and time. We should have!
  • Now you are 50 and you want to feel like going back to school. And so, there are videos on social media doing the rounds about “Going back to school” where older people are

wearing school uniforms and going back to school. Why? Because you did not enjoy that process and that time you had in school. Back then you just wanted to run away from school, grow up, get to America or migrate to Canada.

There should never be a day of regret in your life. Enjoy your times of studying in school.

  • There is a timing within beauty. He makes everything beautiful in its time means every season has its beauty and when you go through the process, God makes it beautiful.
  1. Beauty instead of ashes

Isaiah 61:3- To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified

  • If you want to lead a beautiful life, you have to learn to consciously give your ashes to God. Ashes represent the last form of burning.

We all have burnt our lives somewhere or the other. If you keep carrying it, you will never find beauty. There are people who have had failed businesses, failed love lives, failed relationships. If you carry this ash and walk around with it, God cannot do anything.

  • God wants to beautify your life. God says, give me your ashes and I will give you beauty. • God will decorate your life and I will bring something beautiful in to your life. Give your ashes to God and tell Him, “Lord I need your beauty”.

Holy Spirit says, “Don’t embrace your ashes. Learn to let go of them. People who are depressed and unable to rejoice are the ones who carry too many ashes”.

People who are disappointed are the ones who are refusing to let go. It has become a scar. There is a time to grieve and space to grieve, please do that but don’t let that scar you for life. You have to give it into the hands of Jesus.

  • The same thing applies to disappointments too. If you don’t let go of it, you will lose your beauty.
  • Life will throw many challenges at your life. Don’t carry them. Learn to let it go into the hands of Jesus. Don’t carry that hurt, don’t carry the ashes.

There are people here who have something or the other burnt in their lives. The Holy Spirit is removing certain ashes and pains out of your life.

  1. Worship the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness

1 Chronicles 16:29- Ascribe to the LORD the glory and honor due His name; Bring an offering [of thanksgiving], and come before Him; Worship the LORD in the beauty of His holiness.

  • Oh! worship the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness. There is a beauty in holiness. Sin makes you ugly, but holiness causes you to be beautiful.
  • Holy means dedicated, devoted, separated unto God. That is the meaning of being Holy. I am separated for Jesus.
  • Sin gives you momentary pleasure but makes you ugly. But holiness unto God makes you beautiful. We are a holy family unto God. There is a beauty within it.

Demons have access where there is unholiness.

  • Where there is holiness, demons cannot enter. If I cast out devils by the finger of God then the Kingdom of God is upon me. Only if you are a holy vessel of God can God’s glory dwell within you.
  • Week after week we have people being set free here. The age that you are living in now throws many unnecessary things all around you especially in social media. It is necessary that you stand holy for God. Don’t forget that.
  • Have I ever called someone a sinner in my preaching? Never. I never do that. There is something called

o Positional holiness- By virtue of your position in Christ you are holy. That is because Jesus took our sins, we who have faith in Jesus Christ are positioned as holy people because of His sacrifice on the Cross.

o Behavioural holiness- That is a process of growing and moulding. This happens when you have the consciousness that you are the righteous of god and from this consciousness you begin to move and walk in that holiness. Behavioural holiness will follow.

I will tell you a secret- when your children do something sinful. Don’t tell them they are sinners but you must say ‘daughter, son, you are holy unto God. Then they can only walk in that line!’

  • You don’t eat in the bowl of your cat, do you? That bowl is holy unto your cat. These hands are used to heal people, I can’t use them for wrongdoing; these feet carry the gospel are holy and beautiful, how can I use it for something else?
  • The Word Glory is associated with the word Beauty.
  • Hold on to Jesus. No matter what you are going through, always hold on to Jesus. • The Holy Spirit told me some 3 to 4 times that I have a very beautiful congregation.

BLESSING ON YOUR FINANCES

Deuteronomy 8:18- For it is the Lord who teaches you to make wealth - I speak a blessing on your finances.

To be blessed financially, do the following

  1. Don’t spend everything that you get – learn to save
  2. Be investment minded than expenditure minded - Poor people look for what to buy, rich people look for where to invest
  3. Financial order and discipline is needed- means that give to God what is due to Him. Set aside what goes into tithing, offering, family, personal expenses- an order is needed.
  4. Maintain a financial record- In John 6, we see that Jesus had a record- 5 loaves and 2 fish – 5000 consumers- recorded source, profit and surplus Fragments of 12 baskets) too is recorded! Only if you record, you can appreciate. Most of us don’t know how much money is coming in your hands.
  5. Do what you know and know what you do- Don’t do business that you don’t know just because a prophet told you to. Blessing comes into doing what you know best. It’s not what you studied. It’s what you know to do well.
  6. Believe and pray for multiple sources of income. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Genesis 26:20- Isaac sowed, he was a farmer. That same year he reaped a 100-fold. His shepherd and the shepherds of that land fought. He started animal husbandry.

It is God who ordains you to be blessed
