New Beginnings

The 8th month is the month of new beginnings. NEW BEGINNINGS!

Genesis 8:1,8- 8 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;

  • God remembered Noah. For months, he was in the midst of the waters and it was a difficult time. But God remembered Noah just when he was wondering if he would be stuck in that same situation forever.
  • This is the month of bringing you out of your bondage. You may have been stuck in that same situation for years, but this month God remembers you and will bring you out. You have victory in the name of Jesus. You will come out of bondages and limitations.
  • Heavens will open up a way for you in the 8th month. The month where winds and waves calm down. It’s a new beginning.

In Genesis 8:38, God remembered Noah and his family and He sent a wind. The Wind indicates the Holy Spirit. His move can doors in your life to do miracles. His move and works can manifest in your life to see miracles.

  • When we talk about new beginnings, I wonder about this question- What will I correct about my life? What will you do differently this month?

If you have to restart your life, what will you differently? Here are a few things I decided:

  1. I will never trust people blindly.
  2. I won't follow the Christian religion, I will only follow Jesus. Religion is more dangerous than the devil. But your relationship with Jesus will bring you out of your struggles. Follow Jesus!

A new start. A new beginning.

  1. I won’t wait till I am 40 to get married. When you are 53 and you have to carry little kids, it is not that easy but it is a blessing from God.
  2. I could have set up a good data base of people I have prayed for, the number of people who have come to Jesus through me. I wish I had that data. I don’t even have the phone numbers of many people. Have data. Even businesses have data, so you know your customer base. You can do something more if you have a data base. Give your existing customer something else. Or give a new product to an existing customer.
  3. I will never take opportunities for granted. God has given so many opportunities. Do not put them aside. Maximise every opportunity for the glory of God.
  4. I should not have delayed getting onto Media ministry – many reached out to me but I said no.
  5. I would have gotten on social media earlier

I would correct all these things if I were to do something differently.

  • A new beginning this 8th month. This is an opportunity to restart your life. If you understand this, God will act on your behalf. He will grant you the wisdom, grace and the angelic hosts to work for you.

Never wait for a perfect condition, you will never get anything done

  • You need content and consistency to be active on social media. A silly joke also wins 1 million views. People are not giving the gospel at the scale at which God wants you to on social media. Use that platform for God. The Lord will send an unusual favour upon you to spread the gospel.
  • In John 10 Jesus says, ‘I have sheep that you do not know of’. Today, I can boldly say that I have more spiritual children outside of this church than those in the church. I am mentoring more people outside of the church. If any of you want to be mentored, please let me know and I can assign a slot for you.
  • What will you do differently?
  1. Many things that I have over analysed and time I tend to overthink.

Over analysis will always lead to paralysis.

  • Trust God with your life, with your career and with any area in your life. In our culture, we always look at outwardly things. For example; Imagine Mark Zuckerberg is a seeing a dream that his closest counterpart is pointing a knife in his hands towards him and the next morning they will share that dream and joke about it, but we would overthink and become suspicious. You get yourself muddled up. Just have simple faith and say, Jesus, I trust you, I will walk with you. You will do a new thing for me.

1 Kings 10:1-5- 10 Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to test him with hard questions. 2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great [a]retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart. 3 So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing [b]so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her. 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, 5 the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.

It is never too late to start again!

  • Queen Sheeba went to Solomon and asked hard questions, not casual or regular ones. She asked for the wisdom needed to build a kingdom, to build a family, wisdom to guide people, to solve their problems, wisdom to build the house.

This is the beginning of building new things, even you family life, ministry. God is taking you into a season where you need to start building in God’s presence.

7 things that we learn from the passage of scripture that talks about Queen Sheeba’s visit to Solomon king.

  1. STRONG STRUCTURE

4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, She first saw what he built

  • Have you built anything? She first saw the house that King Solomon had built. Build means it has a structure-- what you build and how you build is a demonstration of your wisdom. Children, family life, ministry- how you built and what you built reflects your wisdom. If you have not built anything in your life, this 8th month may you build something new and may give you grace for it. Without building anything yourself you can't criticise me. I have a problem with that.
  • When I built this small church structure, I has only the wisdom and faith for only this much. God told me however big I build, He will fill it. What I plan to build in the next level is bigger and God has given me the faith for it.

You need a structure to build.

Money doesn't build, wisdom does.

The capacity to think and the ability to execute is what gets something done.

  • One of the hotels I recently stayed in, it was a nice room nice hotel. It had an ironing board and ironing box but no electric socket! Some of the airports are so well planned with meeting rooms, bathrooms, cafes tec.
  • What you build, you need to build in the wisdom. What should be the structure of your family life? What should be the structure of the relationships within your family?
  1. STRONG SUPPLY SYSTEM

Verse 5: 5 the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel,

  • She saw that there was no dearth of food or supplies on the table. Food is not running short because of the constant supply chain.
  • “He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ”.

Wisdom reflects in the ability to see constant supply at all times.

  • The Word promises us that God will give wisdom to those who ask of Him. Ask Him and there will be a supply of wisdom from the Lord.
  • In some hotels, you have to keep calling and asking for a towel and soap but some keep everything ready.

In your life, may the Lord open miraculous ways for constant supplies of financial or spiritual resources.

  • People will judge you, not by your drawing room or living room but judge you by your toilet.
  • If you have walked with the Son of God Jesus, who fills your cup to the overflowing and if the Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not want. If you are following religion, there is want. If you are following Jesus, then there is no want.
  • The fear of lack makes people act awkwardly.
  • When Sheeba Queen saw, there were all supplies of food, biriyani, naan, Qubbus. Don’t be scarcity minded. Be supply minded.
  • My God will supply all your needs. Say that 10 times and may the Lord break every yoke of scarcity.

If you want to build exponentially, you need a strong structure and strong supply system. Maintain a steady supply

  1. STAGING

Verse 5: The food on his table, the seating of his servants

The way people are sitting shows whether there is God’s Presence or not. Some sit with their legs crossed, yawning, watching their mobile phone while some people are paying deep attention to Jesus and His Word.

  • Seating of his servants means staging. Like you are presenting something to an audience, for example, staging a play.
  • Queen Sheeba saw that the way people sat were according to ranking- there was a well organised seating arrangement. For something to be staged, a lot has to be done with precision and accuracy.
  • For example, what I am preaching today is not given to me today while I stand on stage but I prepare through the week. A worship team also practices. In fact, they take more time to practice. They may need to stage only for 5 minutes but they are preparing for a week. A person running 100 metres, he has been rehearsing behind the scenes for years because he has to stage himself for a few seconds.

In your life, Godly wisdom is needed. There is a preparation to stage.

2 Timothy 2:15- Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

  • Study well so you are a workman as approved unto God. Wisdom is needed for staging. There is a preparation.
  1. SERVICES

Verse 5: The service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers,

  • Queen Sheeba saw the cupbearers --- The way they serve. Their promptness of service. The way they have placed the knifes and the forks. If you take this Word into your heart and you ask the Father for godly wisdom, God will build something beyond your imagination through you- May be your workplace, business, family life.
  • Cup bearer here signifies something- those days there were no bombs or guns. If someone needed to kill the king, they only had to mix poison in his drink. The cup bearer is a sign of the security system of the King. Queen Sheeba felt safe looking at King Solomon’s cup bearers.
  • I too have a top-level security system.

When I was praying in a room abroad when I was travelling for ministry, I recollect what happened one early morning- it was early hours of the morning and everything was still dark. I saw a something dark enter the room. Immediately I saw an angel come and cast it out. I was overwhelmed looking at the angel but I knew that there was going to be a mighty breakthrough in the ministry that day.

  • God shall send His angels concerning you to protect you. May the angelic realm be opened over some of your lives today.
  1. SECURE SYSTEM
  • Your business needs a secure system. That is wisdom.
  • We have cameras in this church too. I see some of you talking standing behind when I am not around!
  1. STYLE
  • You need style. What is your style? What is your style in whatever you build? Contemporary or classic? Don’t just buy something from China and come. First decide if it aligns with your choice of style. Don’t wear clothes just because someone gifted you. Does it fit you well? people should know your personality. What are you portraying?
  • Dress well and come to the House of God. I am not asking you to wear expensive clothes but wear well- wash, dry, iron and come smart into the House of God.
  • What is your style in your business? Figure that out.
  1. SPIRITUALITY
  • This was the most important aspect of what Queen Sheeba witnessed. In fact, the previous 6 things were working and happening because of this 7th point. It was King Solomon’s relationship with God. Your walk with Jesus reflects what the other aspects of your life portray. She understood that there are certain things that king Solomon had acquired only in God’s presence- Not from google or not from any other source. Queen Sheeba understood the password of King Solomon’s Success- his spirituality. Ask God to take you deeper into a relationship with Him.

Psalm 84:10- "For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked

  • The psalmist is saying here, even if I do not enter the holiest of the holies, even if I stand in the outer courts, I am blessed how much more will you be blessed if you came with a pure heart before God washed by the Blood of Jesus.
  • There is a release of a special grace upon those sitting at the back!
  • You are blessed when you worship Jesus, you are blessed when you ascend into the Presence of God.
