The Blessed Life
The Sunday Sermon by Pastor Rajesh mathew, 11 Jan 2026
Proverbs 4:18 (MSG)- The ways of right-living people glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine
- The longer they live the brighter they shine. You are going to shine bright for the glory of God. This is my year pf blessing!
God does not want any of His children to go through this world as a mere spectator or as a victim. Are you His child? He wants to glow, shine bright, shine with His presence and blessing.
What is this ‘blessed life’? Lots of money? Or is it to become the CEO of a company or a Mayor of a city?
BLESSED LIFE ACCORDING TO THE WORD MEANS THE FOLLOWING 1. It is the life that is in a good standing/relationship with God.
Psalms 32:1- Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
- This is the foundation of a blessed life. I am forgiven by the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross and today I have a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God dwells within me. • There is no greater blessing than knowing that you have a right standing with God through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
- Blessed life is the life that enjoys the Goodness and the Favour of the Almighty.
Genesis 39:3-4-3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did [a]to prosper in his hand.
- The biggest sign of a blessed life is that God is with someone and that whatever he does is blessed.
2026- This year may you enter into that blessing.
- I am under the goodwill of God. That is God is wishing you well. God is with you and is blessing all that you do. This is not the favour of man but the favour of God.
- It is a life that is very conscious of a glorious destiny
- It is a consciousness that God has a great destiny for me, and that I have a future in God’s sight. My future is bright. The more I live, the brighter I shine. I will shine brightly for God. That means I am headed somewhere—there is no Plan B.
- You do not live with thoughts like, What if I do not progress in my life or in my ministry?
- If God has called you, you will move forward in your ministry. It is not a thought of moving into failure from success, but of moving from success to success. • This understanding—that God has a plan for my destiny and my future, and that I will walk in blessing—gives confidence and direction.
Romans 8:30-30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
- God predestines, God calls, and God justifies. If He has already done these three, He will definitely glorify you.
- If the blood of Jesus has cleansed you, He will glorify you. If you know you are called, He will glorify you.
- It is a life that is filled with the abundance of divine resources
Genesis 24:1- 24 Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.
- God blessed Abraham in everything. From every angle, he was blessed—from the back, from the side, and from the front. He was blessed in his servants, his family life, his health, his relationships, his finances, and his lifespan. There was no area of his life that was dead or broken. This is my year of blessing.
- It is a life that is evidently and visibly blessed
- It is a life that is visibly flourishing and blessed. You don’t have to fake it. You don’t have to fake success. It is visible. Those who see you also know it. Even your enemies will know that you are blessed and that God has blessed you.
Psalms 92: 10-12- But my [a]horn You have exalted like a wild ox;
I have been anointed with fresh oil.
11 My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;
My ears hear my desire on the wicked
Who rise up against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD
Shall flourish in the courts of our God
You will flourish and visibly flourish. Those who are planted in the House of the Lord, they will grow and flourish. He shall grow fat with the blessing of God and the anointing of God.
- It is a life that is preserved of God
Genesis 20:4-4 But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, “Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also?
- Abimelech was a king, and that night God met him and said, “Do not touch her.” See how God preserved her—it was God Himself declaring that she is a prophet’s wife.• God also met Laban and said, “Do not harm Jacob.”
- This is a sign of blessing: God intervenes. May you experience the supernatural, preserving presence of God in your life.
- A life of steady and progressive growth
Genesis 26:12-13- 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. 13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;
- Your progress will be steady. Your victory will be obvious in 2026
- A life that is guided by God.
- A life that is characterised by divine guidance and direction. You will be continuously guided by God.
- This year, you will understand God’s language. 2026 — my spiritual ears are open to receive direction from God.
- God’s guidance even in ministry. We need His guidance in finding a marriage partner. We need it in our business and in our children’s lives. Without God’s guidance, we are left to ourselves.
- Lord, lead me; Lord, direct me. He will direct your life.
- God led the children of Israel through the wilderness and across the Red Sea.
- A life where God’s influence and God’s goodness are there on your children/ generations.
Isaiah 61:9 Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles,
And their offspring among the people.
All who see them shall acknowledge them,
That they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed.”
- They will be influencers, not through social media but they will be influenced by God and blessed of God.
Psalms 112:1-2 - His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
- My children shall be blessed; they will be mighty on the earth. Teach your children to fast and pray—it is your responsibility. It is important that you teach them to walk inthe ways of God.
- When we were young, my mother never prepared chicken or fish. No matter the fuss we made, that decision was final.
- No one should have a child who becomes a burden. You will not have a child who brings concern or shame to the family.
- It is a life that is a blessing to the world, a life that is beyond yourself.
- Somebody else is blessed through your life. Through you, many will be blessed. • Make me a blessing unto other.
- A life that is established in peace.
Psalms 37:11- But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
- Abundance of peace.
All the above points serve as a checklist to see if we are living a Blessed life. If you think youare not, ask the Lord why it is not. If you ask God, you will know where things are amiss. Liftyou voice and ask Him Lord where am I missing out?
His Word is unchanging and His Word is never a mistake. If you are not seeing it, find out inthese days, ask HIM.
YOU NEED KEYS TO ENTER INTO ANY BLESSING.
What are the secrets/ keys?
Mathew 16:19-19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [a]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
The Keys of the Kingdom: Not everybody sitting in the church has the keys. May be 20 people out of 2000 will have them.
The Key of Faith
- The woman with the issue of Blood touched the hem of Jesus’s garment. She thought of it in her heart and she touched Him, power left Him and He said to her, ‘Daughter your faith has made you well”.
- Apostles were all around, they did not experience anything but the one who touched him by Faith felt the healing.
- The KEY OF FAITH- Faith in Jesus, Faith in HIS Word, Faith in the prophecy.
The Key of the Anointing
Isaiah 61:1-2- “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to [a]heal the broken-hearted,To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
- The anointing of the Holy Spirit is a key. Do not stay silent. Move under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
- May the power of the Holy Spirit break every spiritual opposition to your blessing.
The Key of the Man of God
- The man of God upon your life and our church, connect with him, honour him andmake him lay his hands on you for God has placed him above you.
In 2 Kings 2, we see that there was a problem in the city. The waters were polluted. Elisha the prophet of God took a vessel, placed salt in it, and released it into the source of the water. When the source was healed, the curse was removed, and the city was restored.
Today, every curse, every death threat, and every situation pointing toward death, I cancel them in the name of Jesus.
The Key of Prayer
- In 1 Samuel 1, Hannah prayed in the presence of God. The prophet declared, “By this time next year, you will have a son.” God opened her womb because her womb had been shut.
- The key she used was prayer. God has given you the key of prayer to open shut wombs, physical wombs, spiritual wombs, ministries, destinies, and futures.
The Key of Giving
- Malachi 3 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house.” The heavens were shut.
- God says, “Bring it all, and see if I will not open the windows of heaven.” Malachi 3:10 — “I will pour out such a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
- Have you tested Him in this? This is the only place in the Bible where God says, “Test Me.”
- Psalm 126 speaks of sowing in tears.
There is a cheerful giver and there is also a tearful giver.
- Sometimes we give what is comfortable when it costs us little, when it feels easy. But there are moments when you give with tears in your eyes when you have no money left for a taxi home, or to pay fees, and yet you still give. That is sowing in tears.
- Be a tearful giver. It is not about the amount—it is about the heart. • When you sow, God does not give you back just a seed to sow again. He gives you trees.
And some of those trees will stand for generations.
- The seed you sow with tears in your eyes is the seed God will cause to stand. And then you shall return with joy, bringing in the harvest.
- This is not, “You scratch my back, and I will scratch yours.” This is surrender, trust and faith.
- This is the key. If I give God ₹10, He does not give me back ₹10.
He gives me something far greater than I can contain.
Prophecy:
Isaiah 37:31-33- And the remnant who have escaped of the house of JudahShall again take root downward,
And bear fruit upward.
32 For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant,
And those who escape from Mount Zion.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.
33 “Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria:
‘He shall not come into this city,
Nor shoot an arrow there,
Nor come before it with shield,
Nor build a siege mound against it.
There was a prophecy spoken over this city when the Assyrian army came to attack it: ‘No harm will come upon you. The enemy will be destroyed. Not a single arrow of the enemy will touch you.’
May you experience divine protection. This is your year of blessing.
